Ashcroft, British Columbia: Ash-Tree Press, 2002. Hardcover. First edition. Limited to 500 copies. Caldecott was a high-ranking British colonial officer who wrote these traditional ghost stories in his spare time. This edition comprises the two volumes published in his lifetime, Not Exactly Ghosts (1947) and Fires Burn Blue (1948), both originally published by Edward Arnold, M.R. James's publisher. The introduction, by Dziemianowicz, is very informative. A fine copy in fine dust jacket.
